Hike - Anderson Peak

There were a lot of wildflowers along the trail.

The wildflowers were abundant in the the Sugar Bowl area.

8/06/06 Sunday

The last time we hiked the PCT out to Tinker Knob, we missed the Benson Hut next to Anderson Peak, so we decided to make a short (10 mile) hike out to the hut and back.

We made a short visit at the Benson Hut.

The Benson Hut is one of a series of huts built by the Sierra Club on or near the PCT.

The sun came out after a few sprinkles to show Anderson Peak in good light.

The hike started out cloudy and cool, but the sun came out on the way back.
