Last year we took our fall vacation in Washington and Oregon and got rained on half the time. We took a drier approach this year and headed south for a tour of the major southwestern national parks.

Since we’d seen the sights in Death Valley in previous visits, we didn’t spend any time exploring the park. Our first goal was Hoover Dam the next day.
